Martina Vidaić was born in 1986 in Zadar and has published the poetry collections Era gmazova (Goran Award for Young Poets, SKUD IGK, 2011), Tamni čovjek Birger (VBZ, 2016), Mehanika peluda (Ivan Goran Kovačić Award for the best poetry collection of the last two years, HDP, 2018), and Trg, tržnica, nož (Janko Polić Kamov Award, HDP, 2021). Furthermore, Vidaić has submitted two novels, Anatomija štakora (Ljevak, 2019) and Stjenice (Ljevak, 2021). Her poems have also been published in several anthologies, including: Croatian Young Poetry 2014 (HDP, 2014), Croatian-Romanian Anthology of Younger Poetry Ritualul omului fericit (Tracus Arte, 2017), German Anthology of Younger European Poetry Grand Tour (Carl Hanser Verlag, 2019), E-book L’inopportabile zartzza della polvere (Kipple officina libraria, 2019), Svjetlaci – Croatian Poetry of the Third Postwar Period (HDP, 2019), Croatian-Greek Anthology of Young Croatian Poetry (Vakxikon, 2020). Individual poems have been translated into a dozen European languages on various occasions and published in numerous journals.

reVERSible Bosnian/Croatian/Montenegrin/Serbian – German

READING – This year’s reVERSible translation workshop will feature poetry from four successor states of the former Yugoslavia: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia. Four cultural institutions from the four countries are gathering to make such an encounter possible.
