Ruddock, Dean

Dean Ruddock (*1992, Paderborn) is a media artist, filmmaker, organizer, editor, poet, and workshop leader. Part of the Spoken Word AG of the Netzwerk Lyriks. He directed the open reading stage Lyriker Lounge for seven years. His artistic focus is the transfer of text into other media, but also the intersection of socio-political issues and artistic perspectives on them. Postmigrant and postcolonial issues receive special attention in his work. Since 2014 he has been active in political and poetic education, including the racism-critical workshop with poet Fatima Moumouni. Since 2018 he is part of the artist collective Tanzpoeten.
