Jumoke Adeyanju is a dancer, writer, curator and vinyl DJ. She studied African/Asian Studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin and is currently doing her Masters in African Politics at SOAS University in London. She has performed her poetry at events in Germany, Tanzania, Lagos and New York, performing in English, German, Kiswahili and Yoruba. Adeyanju is the founder of The Poetry Meets series and a radio host on YAASAA. Her multidimensional work has been shown by Arthouse Foundation Lagos, African Artists’ Foundation, and Galerie Wedding, among others. Her poems and translations were published in the anthology Kontinentaldrift – Das Schwarze Europa (ed. by Fiston Mwanza Mujila, Das Wunderhorn, 2021).
