Erec Schumacher, born 1970 in Mölln. Lives and works in Berlin as an author, organizer, publisher and activist of the Freie Szene. Co-founder and board member of KOOK e.V., an independent network of artists for artists. KOOK organizes reading series, concerts, festivals, exhibitions and develops its own formats. Organizer of the reading series KOOKread. Since 2019 member of the board of the Bündnis Freie Szene Berlin e.V. Since October 2020 member of the circle of spokespersons of the Coalition of the Freie Szene, in which he represents the interests of the Freien Literaturszene. Founding member of the Netzwerk der Freien Literaturszene Berlin e.V., in which he was a member of the board from 2016 to 2019. His texts and works have appeared in numerous magazines, anthologies and chapbooks. www.erecschumacher.com
