Anna Jagdmann, born in the year of the kingfisher. Childhood in a small German town, north of the Elbe. Studies in humanities and social sciences in Berlin with internships in France and Brazil. Scholarship stay in Colombia, which turned into several years of teaching at universities in Bogotá, archival research for a dissertation, and travel to remote regions of the country. 2006 return to Berlin with three stray animals and doctorate at the FU with a thesis on Nation Building and Geography in Colombia. Since then job as a translator and writing daily diary entries. Purchased a violin and a Turkish textbook. Experiments with short prose, poetry, and works out of paper.

The warm-up before the start of the 23rd poesiefestival berlin! Poets’ Corner takes over the city with poetry! Berlin-based poets and musicians will read and perform across the city’s districts in libraries, gardens, and cultural centers, thanks to support of Berlin’s city districts and cultural institutions. There’s room for poetry everywhere!
