Sabina Brilo, born in 1974 in Barysaŭ, Belarus, is a poet, journalist, editor. She graduated in 2011 in media and communication from the European Humanities University, the Belarusian university in exile in Vilnius. Her poems are characterized by pinpoint clarity of articulation and profound reflectiveness. Direct and pointed, they are able to call complicated things by their names. Brilo has published three poetry collections and has performed at international literary festivals. Her journalistic and prose works have appeared in various media, anthologies and collections in Belarus and Lithuania. Member of the Belarusian Writers’ Union as well as the Union of Journalists, both of which were forcibly dissolved in 2021. Lives in exile in Vilnius.
