Katlesh, Ahmad

Ahmad Katlesh, born in 1988 in Damascus, lives as a writer and journalist in Berlin. He has published poetry and prose in Syria and Jordan; his first poetry collection in German was published in November 2020 by Edition Rugerup under the title Das Gedächtnis der Finger. He is currently researching sound in Arabic poetry and publishing spoken Arabic literature on his Soundcloud channel TIKLAM. In 2020, he was awarded the Chamisso publication fellowship of the Friedrich Baur Foundation.
